We took the classic bell tent design and packed it with features focusing on ease of use, comfort, style, and versatility.  The Ultimate checks all the boxes for family camping, luxury camps, casual glamping, festivals, garden parties, car camping, back yard lounging, and three season use.  The Twin's dual center poles, steep angles, and oval shape give the interior a spacious feel and plenty of walk around room. The rip-stop, water and vapor impermeable groundsheet attaches to the tent with a burly size 10 zipper that runs a full 360 degrees around the perimeter.  Giving you the ability to roll up the canvas side walls and let the breeze in, or remove the floor completely for transport, cleaning, storage, or to feel the grass between your toes!

Twin Bells and Oval Floor Plan

The 600 Twin is a mash up of two bell tents connected with a ridge pole.  The unique oval shape of creates two “wings” with a central living room area.  The steep angle of the canvas and cathedral like ceilings of the Twin provide ample ‘pacing space’ and a roomy interior.

Two people are required to rise the dual center poles.  The oval shape and multifaceted structure necessitate even and taut tension on each and every guy line.  As the tent settles and shifts on the ground in the breeze it is important to re-tension the guy lines as necessary.  Due to the weight and size of the canopy, any amount of snow or ice accumulation can structurally compromise your tent, read more about snow load in our FAQ.

Our Ultimate groundsheets are durable, thermally welded, 15.9oz/yd² ripstop PVC.  Completely water and vapor impenetrable, the ‘bathtub style’ floor rises 4 inches high to keep you dry even in standing water.  Using a heavy duty size 10 zipper to attach the sidewall to the groundsheet, you can unzip the floor to roll up the canvas walls for maximum ventilation, or remove the groundsheet entirely for transport, storage, cleaning, or to enjoy the grass or sand beneath your feet.  A tail gate style system of secure hooks and eyes allows you to drop the bathtub wall near the door and peg it flat to prevent tripping and facilitate easy cleaning.

Spring Loaded Poles

Our durable nickel plated steel poles have internal spring loaded wires that guide the pole sections together for quick and easy assembly. The center pole has a welded lanyard ring which can be used to hang an inner tent or chandelier.  The 600 Twin has dual center poles with a horizontal cross bar requiring two people to rise the canvas.

Dual A-frame Doors

The Sibley’s signature A-frame door allows for easy entry and exit, and holds the canvas at 90 degrees from the ground preventing rain from falling into the tent when moving in and out.  Spring loaded poles snap together quickly for easy set up and fold together for fast take down and organized storage.  The floor is equipped with two stirrups which hold the foot poles of the A-frame securely in place.  The top of the A-frame door is equipped with a pin that sits in a grommet at the peak of the door ensuring proper placement.  A rain cap is then placed over the pin and grommet to keep rain from running down the poles.  The canvas door zips together vertically and along the bathtub floor. The 600 Twin Ultimate can be equipped with a detached mesh door for the front entrance (which can be found under Sibley Accessories), and two square mesh windows on the side door, for maximum ventilation and bug protection.  Each side of the door is equipped with loops and ropes to neatly tie back the canvas and/or (optional) mesh doors to hold them open when not in use.

Every Sibley is compatible with a Sibley Connector, a bow-tie shaped attachment that can be used as an awning or can provide covered canvas bridge between two Sibleys.  600 Twin can be arranged in conjunction with additional Sibley’s to create a multiple room tent.

Windows and Vents

Every Sibley comes complete with windows and vents covered in no-seeum mesh to keep the bugs out while providing ventilation and airflow.  Our half moon windows have zip up covers to allow you to customize your desired level of ventilation and privacy.  Each window is equipped with loop fasteners to neatly hold the covers when the windows are unzipped.

In addition to the six half moon screen windows, the Twin has a large A-frame supported picture window opposite the second entrance.

Durable Guy Lines and Tensioners

Our Ultimate series comes with 3mm guy ropes that will need to be tied on before your first pitch.  Check out our assembly instructions at the top of this page to get a feel for the initial set up process.  Our PRO Series comes with pre-attached guy lines and tensioners for those customers looking for an out-of-the-box set up.    Plastic tensioners prevent edges from cutting into the guy lines and prolong the life of your tent.

Steel Stakes and Pegs

The Ultimate stakes and groundsheet pegs are designed for easy insertion and removal from average earth, like grass or forest floor.  For pegging a groundsheet to especially hard or rocky soil, D60 nails are cheap, easily sourced, and can be placed and removed with a standard claw hammer.  If your application requires the heavy duty stakes for hard, rocky, or frozen ground, check out our PRO Series.

Ultimate Canvas

Our 9.4oz/yd² army duck canvas on the Ultimate, Deluxe, and Free series is the perfect balance of performance and breathability.    Our proprietary Ultimate treatment enhances the natural water resistance of canvas, along with a light UV and mold resistance.  The Ultimate is ideal for casual camping in mild to moderate environments for three season use.  Repariable and retreatable, a properly maintained Ultimate can last for years and years.  Double stitched, flat-felled roof and side wall seams, seam gussets, and double-layer construction at all stress points create a bell tent that is as durable as it is beautiful.  For more extreme climates, four season, or long term use check out our PRO series.

Cotton canvas provides a natural waterproofing and breathability.  Cotton fibers swell when damp, the tight weave prevents rain from penetrating and the surface tension of moisture on the outside combined with the angle of the canopy allows water to run off.  Moisture held in the air on the inside is still able to escape directly through the fabric, keeping internal humidity low and mitigating condensation.  Check out our FAQ for more information than you could ever need to know about Cotton Canvas and proper tent maintenance.

Our canvas is exclusively 100% cotton.  Cotton is made from the seed hair of this hardy and drought tolerant plant. Sustainable, renewable, and one of the most biodegradable fabrics on earth.  Our canvas is a soft, natural, earthy beige that glows inside and out with natural or artificial light.  CanvasCamp is the only tent manufacture to carry the official Seal of Cotton®.

All of our tents are easily adaptable to fit a modular stove jack for a tent stove.  Proper stove placement is dependent on stove size, desired temperature, and intended use; thus we provide you the advice and systems to place a stove in best location for you.  Simply cut a hole in your desired flu exit location and screw on the stove jack.  Read our blog or contact us to learn more about the best stove placement for your desired application.  Not for use with open fire pits.  We encourage you to be vigilant about fire safety and are happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.  CanvasCamp cannot be held liable for any damage or injury to persons or property resulting from the use or misuse of fire or flammable materials in or around our tents.
